Baxter had a vision of multiple rides interacting with each other in an
Indiana Jones immersive land. There is even concept art where you can see the
Enhanced Moving Vehicle (EMV) ride, the Jungle Cruise, Disneyland Railroad
and a mine train style rollercoaster. Due to budget cuts this has never been fully
realized in Disneyland Anaheim. Disneyland Anaheim and Tokyo Disneyland
received the EMV rides, while Disneyland Park received the mine train
rollercoaster; Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril. This was supposed to be a
temporarily infill ride due to the capacity problems of the park in the early
years. In fact; Disneyland Park originally was said to get two mine train
rollercoasters.
It has
been rumoured the popular temple is to be extended through the new adventure
temple, which would bring this miniland quite to the original concept.
